Dissonance uses a DKP loot system with an additional attendance factor.
DKP: All raids have a DKP value, this value is added to each member attending after the raid, the average value is 10 DKP for a run. DKP for a run cannot be spent on the raid it is awarded. When loot drops DKP is used to bid on items (see below)
Note: - The raid leader can increase the DKP value of any scheduled run that goes longer than the original end time. - Raids that end early will not have their DKP reduced. - Raids that are canceled due to poor turnout award the listed DKP. - Pickup raids can award DKP but have no effect on Attendance Rating (see below), although pick up raids can award DKP, depending on the group make up, it may not be used to distribute loot. - DKP is tracked by player, not character. If an alt is in a raid they use the main's DKP pool, but with a 20 DKP max bid restriction. Alts have 0 ATR (attendance rating) - Off-spec items or 2nd tokens have a 20 DKP max bid restriction. - Players missing keys or attunements for the run will not receive DKP. - DKP cannot be traded, purchased, sold, gambled, inherited, gifted, donated, etc…
Attendance Rating: All characters have an Attendance Rating. Attendance Rating has a max value of 100 and is reduced by half of the DKP value of any missed raids inside of a rolling 10 raid window. This value is used to break bidding ties. As with DKP attendance rating is recalculated at the end of raids.
Note: - Players missing keys or attunements for the run will not receive attendance unless the attunement step they are missing is something that can only be completed with a raid.
Standby Points Players that do not make it into raids due to high turnout will receive normal attendance and DKP as per the rules above as long as they are within a reasonable distance from the raid instance and stay in contact with the raid tracker. If you are on standby, it is your responsibility to tell the standby tracker when your status changes and how you can be reached. Ensure you get a response since they may be in the middle of a boss fight or other distraction.
Leave Early / Arrive Late A player is counted as "Arrive Late" if they arrive more than 15 minutes after the scheduled raid start time. A player is counted as "Leave Early" for leaving the raid before the scheduled end time or the raid leader calls for the end of the raid, whichever comes first. Players not present in the raid or reachable while on standby for the entire raid time (as posted), will receive 50% DKP for the night, rounded up. This applies to people who arrive late, leave early, leave the raid for a period of time in the middle, or can't be reached while on standby (e.g. don't respond to hourly standby checks).
Spending DKP on Raids: The primary use of DKP is to bid on items that drop in scheduled DKP raids. When an item drops there will be one round of silent bidding where players interested in a drop simply send a tell to the current bid taker with the amount they wish to bid.
Note: - The minimum bid for a drop is 1 DKP. - The maximum bid for a drop is 100 DKP. - The maximum bid for alts, friends, and off-spec items or 2nd tokens is 20 DKP. - All ties will be broken by attendance rating first, /random 100 second in the event of Sudden Death Overtime. - Alts and friends have an attedance rating of 0. - If a player has no DKP to spend they can still bid zero on an item. A Zero Bid will be the same as your current DKP total(e.g. 0 for 0, -10 for -10). If you win, you will be charged a flat 10 DKP for the item. - Items that receive no bids will be sharded if possible, or collected to be sold otherwise. - BoE drops that are found on raids are greeded or randomly distributed to players currently in the instance. Exceptionally high quality or rare drops will be bid on like boss loot for use by the character bidding. - Items such as [item]Primal Nether[/item] and [item]Nether Vortex[/item] will be bid on as normal for items to equip, not sell. Extras will go tothe guild bank - If for raid balance we ask a player to switch to an alt for a fight, they have the option of bidding '0' on an item and paying an equivelent price in enchanting materials to the guild bank if that character has no DKP.
Spending DKP outside of Raids: DKP can also be used for the purchase of BoE drops in dungeons. These items will be found in the Guild Bank and can be requested on the forum.
At this time BOE items from the guild bank cost 20 DKP. During the first week they are available to raiding mains only.
Note: - After one week, unclaimed items can be bid on by alts/friends who can equip the item, or they will be sharded/sold/auctioned to produce funds for raid consumables.
Additionally, DKP can be used to purchase items crafted with drops that come from dungeons or enchants that use regents of sharded raid drops. These items will have a fixed DKP value set on them. To receive a crafted item post a request on the forums and contact an officer to have them withdraw the item from the guild bank for you.
Note: - Supplies are limited, requests will be filled in the order of first fulfill able not just first received. - DKP will be charged when the raid resources are delivered, non raid regents are up to you to gather.
Special Loot Rules for Raid Instances BoP -> BoE patterns -These are given to crafters who can make them based on attendance rating
BoE -> BoP patterns 1) Patterns can't be bid on for use in personal profit, nor to have them all (no BoP plate items for hunters). 2) People in the raid (even those on standby) can bid for the pattern. - You can bid on patterns for an alt, please add "(alt - <name>)" to your bid so we're aware, since it might be vetoed in some situations. 3) After "No Bids" for #2, the pattern will be given to the guild bank for holding. 4) Patterns will be held for one week all interested parties can place a claim and at the end of the week patterns will be rewarded based on attendance rating. 5) After that time, the pattern will be placed for sale on the AH.
Q: What kind of things would cause a bid to be Vetoed. A: Times when a rare BoE->BoP pattern drops that a main has been waiting for might be saved. Excessive number of alt pattern purchases. Times when the guild bank needs gold from AH sales.
Q: What exactly is "personal profit"? A: This is for personal gains outside that of guild related use, to be safe, the item/pattern you receive is going to be used immediately on a character you own.
Q: But wait what about ... A: Selling a raid drop to get gold for an epix mount to show up at raids earlier would technically help the raid, that's still considered personal profit. A: Selling a raid drop to get gold for for consumables and repairs would technically help the raid that's still considered personal profit. A: Giving a raid drop to that hot water vendor in Org so she'll go out with you would technically help the raid that's still considered personal profit.
- Clarification of bid priority - 1) Spending points from a character for an item that character will use. Any bid from a character with DKP (regardless of alt / main status) is on the same level for bidding on any raid drop they have access too, including standby bids. As long as that character is going to use that item.
2) Spending points from a character for an item a different character (of the same player) will use. These bids will be considered after #1 is handled in the raid.
3) Banked Items All bids are on equal footing for already banked BoE patterns and items as long as for use and not for sale.
