What is your prior raiding experience, and with which class? : I have raided every raid in BC, and all in Wrath, I also was part of the first 25man server firsts of Naxx, Malygos, and 3 Drake Sarth before the nerf.
What tools / resources do you use to assist you in making character choices? : I usually use Maxdps for gear, elitist jerks for stats choices and ways to improve my DPS.

Why do you want to join Dissonance? : I want to join a guild that can get things done rather than bicker about how to do it or who gets the loot. I love my current guild and the people in it but there is way too much drama going on for my tastes.

You have quite a few blue gems, three more than you need to activate your meta, none of which is the +all stats gem, was this for your survival spec to leverage something out of Hunter vs. Wild?

I know my choices in Gems are not quite proper, I am still learning the finer parts of gemming, I know I have a ways to go to become better, the blue gems were to match the socket color, but if needs be I can replace them with any gem that should be in that slot, to better my dps. I am always open for constructive criticism.

I do apologize for not having a WowWebstatslog, but here is the Recount screenshot from a Random VoA 10 man I just did. The easier to read breakdown for damage is in my chat log.

On that screen shot I notice no serpent sting on your bars, do you have a macro for that? also I noticed arcane shot on your bars, do you use that in your rotation or just when moving?

Also if you click on your name next time, and show the breakdown of your damage(like what attack did what damage and such) might help us analyze your dps better. ^^

I have a macro,

This marcro will fire Serpent sting when I hit the right mouse button, and Chimera on the left click.

as to the Arcane shot question, I use it in my standard rotation and while on the move, I have tried to do my research and the Jury is still out whether Arcane is useful or not, I kind of like it to pad my DPS on the move or thread it in after a steady shot before the GCD kicks in. I know that I may not be the best hunter out there, more like mediocre and I am liking my server. So I am considering withdrawing my App, but if possible could I pick your guys brains to better myself? I try to do research for hunters but what I get out of the countless threads may not be what some one else with a more trained eye gets.

I'd highly recommend weening yourself off clicking it helps if you can separate movement from attacking and the mouse is really the only way to do turns.

That one is very important, I'm sure you know why.

You cannot thread in Arcane shot before a GCD kicks in for steady shot, it would be like trying to sneak in fire blast after an in flight fireball hits, GCDs are GCDs, you can't avoid them. You simply pay your GCD for steady shot while it's casting arcane shot is never worth using as a marks (is not boosted by ArP or Piercing Shots) or survival (same cooldown as explosive) hunter unless you're moving long distances and your other two instance casts are on cooldown.

Well Ralnar kind of answered my question for you but yea, try to avoid arcane shot, but man.. every time I come up with a question for an app someone always answers >.< let the app's answer!

well yea, but you kind of defeated the purpose of having them research the stuff on there own by telling them not to use it X.x but at least you weren't as bad as Aneurin on the rogue questions =P

Thanks for the info I will use it to my advantage. I guess I need to do more research on my own. Where are the best places for me to go? I usually try to pan for gold nuggets of knowledge in Elitistjerks.

Here is another DPS check on Koralon with the entire Recount break down

I replaced my Blue gems with Pure Agility and replaced on blue gem with the Nightmare Tear and put that in my chest. Here's hoping for higher DPS.

Also I changed my Macro to:
showtooltip
/cast [modifier:lshift] Serpent Sting; Chimera Shot
/cast Kill Command
/cast Blood Fury

So to shoot how Serpent Sting I just have to hit shift and tap on the key.
And also proc the Kill Command when it is off cooldown and Bloodfury as well.

As to the Aspects I use Floaspectbar and Flototems for my Traps, the bar is in the lower right of my ui.

It looks like my guild wants to keep me around, They put me in charge of my own guild 10 man, I was able to get the people Through Saurfang in one night, Festergut and Rotface in another night and get attempts in on Putricide. Wish me luck, My goals are to destroy the Lich King!
